з предмета:  «Англійська мова»

Тема: «Мистецтво. Світ живопису.»

Тема уроку: «Образ жінки в мистецтві».

Розвиток монологічного мовлення учнів.

Мета уроку: практична: тренувати учнів в монологічному та

                                         діалогічному мовленні з опорою на текст;

                                         навчати учнів спілкуватись по темі уроку;

                                         систематизувати знання лексичного матеріалу учнями;

                     

                       виховна: викликати бажання досконаліше вивчати англійську мову та володіти нею;

                                     виховувати свідоме ставлення до навчання;

                                     виховувати почуття любові до прекрасного в житті та  мистецтві світової культури;

                     освітня: підвищувати рівень загальної мовної культури висловлювання думок іноземною мовою;

                                     інтелектуально та емоційно впливати на учнів засобами іноземної мови;

                                     учити замислюватись над змістом прочитаного та над змістом картини стародавніх і сучасних майстрів мистецтва;

                     розвиваюча: тренувати пам'ять та вчити учнів творчо виконувати завдання;

                                     розвивати пізнавальні здібності учнів;

                                     розвивати навички правильної вимови, побудови речень, виразів;  

                                     вдосконалювати навички виразного читання англійською мовою;

                                     формувати комунікативні здібності учнів.

Обладнання уроку: слайди, доповіді учнів, тексти віршів англійською мовою та їх переклади українською та російською мовами, репродукції картин.

І. Організація  групи:

T: Good afternoon, pupils!

    I’m glad to see you. But who is on duty today? Who is absent at our lesson?

P1: I am on duty today. Today is Thursday. … and … are absent today.

T:    And what about you? How do you do?  How do you feel today? Take the papers with smilics, choose your feeling and show me, please!

T: Oh, I see most of you feel well today.  I’m happy because you are healthy, happy and funny today!

II. Now it’s time for the “Warm-up”(Мовленнєва зарядка. Перевірка домашнього завдання):

You have read the text “ART  GALLERIES  IN  LONDON”(Ex 8 on page 125).

Make sentences from these parts of them:

T: Today we are going to continue speaking about art.

Listen to these words please- WOMAN, LOVE, MOTHER,BEAUTY…

These words are of the same meaning. A woman is the beginning of every starting. She is a source of happiness, joy and attraction. She is beautifull in her appearance, behaviuor and as a person as well.

A lot of creators in art: painters, componists, poets, writers made and are making now, at this moment their masterpieces, in which the main character is a WOMAN.

I want you to master your spoken skills in the problem:

“A  woman’s  image  in  the  Art”

(«Образ жінки в мистецтві»).

IV. Основна частина уроку. Монологічне мовлення учнів:

T: As I know you have prepared different compositions, reports. Some of you have found interesting facts about poets, pictures and their creators.

And who wants to start our lesson?

Please, ……..

P1: I’ve found a lot of poems about women in English, Russian and Ukrainian. Most of all I like the poem by Lord Gordon Byron “She Walks In Beauty” (“Вона йде у всій красі”). May I read it?

T: Yes, of course! You may!

She Walks In Beauty (Lord Byron)

She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling place.

And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,

T: Many thanks, boys! A good job!

P 5: I have prepared a small composition about Rafael Santi.

Most of all I like “The Sikst’s Madonna”.

P 5: The beautiful woman takes her child in her arms. Her image is nice, quite and proud. She is a Mother. She is the main woman in the family- world.

We know that any woman is too important person for every painter, poet and componist. She is a source of their creative art activity.

T: Thanks a lot! It’s rather nice story!

Look at the screen ones more! How beautiful and charming they are!

T: And now you can see one more picture at the screen. Who knows this picture? Who is its author?

P 6:  I have written a short story about this picture. It is “The Unknown” by Kramskiy.

For the first time it was shown to the public in 1883.

I have found an interesting fact about this picture.

Some men of art have found the real name of this woman in picture. She is Ekaterina Dolgorukaya.

You can see a photo of her.

As for me, I like this proud and beautiful woman.

And I want to be like this  Unknown- and well-known in the same time woman.

She is pretty and nice.

T: Tell me, please, do you like legends, myths and fairy-tales?

As for me, I like them very much!

P 7:  As for me, I  have found a beautiful legend about Apollo’s love to young Daphna.

This story is very interesting and nice.

Apollo- a very handsome young man, wanted to have beautiful Daphna as his wife. But Daphna did not love Apollo. She was very beautiful, clever and didn’t want to become anybody’s wife as well.

She made everything possible to say “NO” to Apollo. But this young man didn’t understand her.

This story has a terrible ending: Daphna grew into a laurel tree. Apollo did  a laurel chaplet and put it on his head.

T: This is a very sad story I think. I suppose every girl must find her half and become a good wife in her life.

But our young men must be very clever, strong and patient. They must be real gentlemen. I like paintings by Thomas Gainsborough. Look at the screen, please! It is the picture “The Birth of a Gentleman”.

T: Has anybody  of you prepared a report about the activity of this painter- Thomas Gainsborough?

P 8: I’ve seen some pictures of this painter. I think they are nice. Most of his paintings are devoted to women. His women are very beautiful- like from the fairy-tales.

Look at this picture, please!

I like the “Lady in Blue” most of all. She is really  beautiful. Her hair are made  in a nice hair-doing. She has very fine brown eyes. Her mouth is like telling an interesting story. She puts her blue scarf onto her shoulder.

I look at her and have a feeling- she is alive. She is among us. And her dress is not an old-fashioned one, I suppose.

She is nice and very beautiful.

I like paintings by Th. Gainsborough. I like to go into the world of romantic and barocco.

    P 9: And I like paintings by Th. Gainsborough, too. As for me I like his picture “The Morning Walk” most of all.

P 9: Gainsborough is famous for his brilliant sense of composition, harmony and form. In the foreground of the picture we can see a pretty slim young woman of about 25 and an elegant young man. The woman has a very fashionable long dress on, her face is attractive. She has dreamy blue eyes, and thick curly golden hair.

As for man, he is tall and handsome, the features of his face are pleasant and expressive. His eyes are dark, his look is proud, his mouth is rather large, his nose is straight, and he has a classical strong figure.

I am sure that the young people are happy because they are young, they are in love, because the day is fine, and life is beautiful.

It is idillic scene in a romantic landscape.

Thanks to the soft colour, the picture has a lyrical and poetic atmosphere.

T: Thanks a lot, pupils! Very interesting stories!

And now have a rest.

I want to tell you about one more painter and show his pictures to you.

He is Konstantin Vassil’ev.

This artist was born in 1942. His creative activity counted more than 400 works of paintings and graphics: portraits, landscapes, surrealism compositions, pictures of epic, mythological and battle genres.

Among the well-known works are cycles: “ Russia is epic” and “ Ring of Nibelunges”, series of pictures about the great Patriotic War, graphic portraits…

As for me I like his portraits of women.

They all are mysteriously beautiful.

Look at them, please!

          P 10: And I like pictures by Sandro Botichelli (1444 - 1510).

T: And which of them are your favourite paintings?

P 10: As for me, I like “The Spring” and “The Birth of Venus” most of all.

P 10:As I know Sandro Botichelli was a master of  jeweller art. And later he was fond of painting. He liked to paint women with beautiful features, with thick long hair, in nice dressings. His women on paintings are with light and beautiful faces.

His masterpieces are well- known everywhere  in the world.

“The Birth of Venus” was painted in 1484- 1486. The eyes of venus are some sad. Her golden hair cover her nice body. She goes to the Earth from the shell.

And his picture “The Spring” is the Hymn of life and happiness. There are figures of new people who are free, happy and clever.

T: Do you know the name of this girl on this picture? No?

Look at the screen, please. This is  the portrait of her- Simonetta Vespuchchi. She was the love of his life.

Does anybody know the author of this painting?

P 11: These are my favourite paintings by great Leonardo da Vinchi.

He was born in 1452 in a small town Ankiano, not far from Vinchi, Philadelphia.

At the age of 13 he was given to study in the studio by great painter Andrea Verokkyo.

Leonardo liked to draw different human smiles.

In 1483- 1490 he has painted “Madonna in the Grotto”.

T: Many thanks! It’s very interesting, no doubt!

Leonardo da Vinchi was an unusual painter, excellent scientist and inventor.

And his real masterpieces are alive today and presént us their warm, light colours and images.

And now close your eyes for a moment and imagine yourselves a very light colour of freshness.

               What colour do you see?

P 1: Green…

P 2: Blue…

P 3: Blue…

T: As for me I like the blue colour. Why? I suppose it is the colour of  freshness, light, colour of pure water and the sky without clouds.

I know that a group of our students have prepared a nice collection of paintings of women who’re dressed in blue clothes.

Who wants to begin?

P 12:  We have found different pictures of various artists, who had painted women in blue clothes. They are really nice, light and beautiful.

We can name some of these works and show them to you.

We’ve made a booklet with the title: “Ladies in blue”.

T: And what do you think, why were all these women- ladies in blue clothes?

P 13: I think, the blue colour is light, pure and can make everybody more charming and beautiful.

P 14: As for me, I suppose that a woman in blue is a real beauty!

P 15: I think, the blue colour helps the painter to show his light feelings to women.
