Мета: вдосконалювати навички аудіювання, усного мовлення; формувати навички вживання лексичних одиниць у граматичних структурах з дієсловом should, Present Simple; виховувати увагу, повагу до товаришів, інтерес до вивчення англійської мови.

Обладнання: підручник, персональний комп’ютер, презентація у Power Point”, роздатковий матеріал по темі, аудіо запис пісні.

Тип уроку: комбінований з використанням ІКТ.

Хід уроку

I.Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення.

Greeting and aim

T. Good morning! How are you! I’m glad to see you!

Cl. Good morning! We are fine, thank you! We are glad to see you, too.

T. So, let’s start our lesson.
Today we’re going to revise the vocabulary for the topic “Health is above wealth”
(Слайд 1).

Phonetic exercises

T.: Look at the blackboard. ( Слайд 2) You can see these some English proverbs. They are connected with the theme of our lesson. Pronounce these sounds and proverbs after me.

Warming-up

T.: Boys and girls, today we have a guest, a reporter from a famous TV programme “Health”. ( Слайд 3)  She would like you to answer some of her questions about health and health habits. (Один з учнів стає репортером)

How often do you brush your teeth?

Do you go to the swimming pool? How often?

How often do you wash you hands?

How often do you visit a dentist?

Do you like to visit doctors?

II. Основна частина уроку

1.Presenting vocabulary “Healthy food”

T: Healthy food is very important to be healthy. We should eat fruit and vegetables, cheese and eggs and other products with vitamins A, B, C. They are very useful. Remember it! (Слайди 4-7)

And now you have a task: You have to complete the table with useful and not useful products. (слайд 8)

Chocolate, eggs, carrot, sweets, honey, bread, meat, cake, milk, hot dog, butter, fish, candy, apple, chips, cheese, hamburger, orange, tomato, pizza

T: Let’s check your answers. (Слайд 9)

2. A healthy mind in a healthy body. (Слайд 10)

T: You should follow some recommendations to be healthy. Let’s check if you know them!

Health Code (Слайд 11)

T. Now I will give each team a leafsheet with a list of recommendations which we should follow or shouldn't follow to be healthy. Your task is to make Health Code. The first team will discuss and tell us what we should do to be healthy and the second team will tell us what we shouldn't do. I will give you two marker pens so you can tick the right points in your leafsheets.

Get up early and go to bed early
Wash your hands before eating
Smoke
Watch TV too long
Go in for sports
Clean your teeth once a day
Sleep enough
Take a cold shower
Eat too many sweets
Spend much time indoors
Eat between meals
Air the room

3. Questions about health

T. And now answer the questions about health. (Слайд 14)

What healthy food should people eat? (2)

Whom should people consult to prevent an illness? (1)

What should people do if they have a cold? (2)

What should people do if they have a toothache? (1)

What should people do if they can't sleep? (2)

4. Give a piece of advice.

T.: When do people go to the doctor? Right. When they have some problems with their health. Now, have a look at some children. Say what problems they have and give them some pieces of advice. (Слайд 15)

T.: What problems does Ruth have?

P1: She has a headache. I think she should visit a doctor. She shouldn’t take any tablets without his advice. She should stay in bed.

  T.: Do you remember a song about children who had many problems with their health? Let’s sing this song! (Слайд 16)

T.: Play the game «Follow my advice». You have to look through the pictures and advise your classmates to do some activities (Слайд 18) (Cлайд 19). You should show understanding through mime and physical response. Be careful! Follow the advice if it’s good e.g.

T: So, you know what to do to be healthy. And now let’s check if you know the proverbs about health.
